Recently, we completed a Capital Project at the Dolgeville Central School District which was a renovation project and addressed some much needed repairs for safety while optimizing and updating their space. We truly enjoyed this kind of restoration project on a school.
Over the years, Putrelo Building Enterprises has worked in many Upstate NY school districts. It was an honor to work with the entire Dolgeville CSD District, the Project Manager, Dave Blackwell of Lend Lease, and Architect, Synthesis Architects. The school staff and maintenance managed balancing classes while undergoing construction grace, enthusiasm and appreciation.
While construction is expertise, we are always glad to see something we build impact the lives of a community for decades.
The Kitchen and cafeteria upgrade
Originally built in the 1950sThe new cafeteria and kitten would receive a renovation to fix a long overdue flooring issue and expand the kitchen to provide an expanded kitchen centralizing frozen food and dry food storage. Seating areas were expanded also giving the students more room and greater flexibility.
Renovating the Athletic Locker Rooms
We brought new life to the girl’s locker room. The Locker rooms were also built in the 50s and the early 60s. Improvements included replacement of all the lockers upgrade the bathroom facilities and overall better the use of the space. The renovated space will be easier to clean safer and promote a healthy environment for students and athletes. Don’t forget the boys!! The boys locker room needed new lockers. With constant use from the athletes and visiting teams for decades the lockers became warn, rusty and broken. Replacement was needed to create a safe and sanitary conditions.
Updating and renovating the School Auditorium
Updating the auditorium was the highlight of the schools renovations. The auditorium is one of the most heavily used common rooms in the school. Home to special events, the morning program assembly’s performances and ceremonies. All the old seeds that were broken and used up have been replaced and installed a new auditorium curtain on the stage that is fireproof. We also expanded the ticket booth at concession stand in the lobby auditorium.
Putrelo Building is always busy with different construction projects, but when it’s about helping a neighboring community- we love to help. We brought experience and a very professional group of people to help. The enthusiasm generated during construction from the faculty, staff and students was quite infectious, and made completing the project every General Contractors dream. Putrelo Building Enterprises is proud of the workmanship by our skilled labor force, under field direction of one of the best Superintendents in Central New York, Larry Cristallo.
